Malaysia-Korea Charity Gala Night

Green Generation proudly co-organized the inaugural Malaysia-Korea Charity Gala Night alongside Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) and OCIM Sdn Bhd, held at the Putri Ballroom, Damai Lagoon Resort in Santubong, Sarawak. We are deeply honoured by the presence of our Guest of Honour, YAB Premier of Sarawak, The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, whose attendance lent great significance to the evening.

The inaugural Malaysia-Korea Charity Gala Night was more than an event. It was a powerful statement of solidarity, compassion, and shared vision. Together, we took meaningful steps toward sustainable development, expanded educational opportunities, and a more inclusive future for all.
The evening came alive with a spectacular lineup of local and Korean talent. The renowned Nanta Group captivated the audience with their high-energy, non-verbal performance rooted in traditional Samulnori rhythms, while Kim Da-Hyun, i.e. an acclaimed Korean singer, actor, and musician widely recognized for his role in the hit K-drama 'Moving', brought star power to the stage. Malaysia's own beloved vocal powerhouse, Jaclyn Victor, rounded out the performances with her signature brilliance.
A most memorable highlight of the night was a heartfelt fundraising performance by YAB Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg himself, whose singing moved the crowd and raised an impressive over RM180,000.

The gala was graced by distinguished guests, including Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, alongside many other prominent figures from across Sarawak. The evening's spirit of giving was further exemplified by the generosity of key donors, including Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Datuk Wira Lorna Enan Muloon Chan and OCIM Sdn Bhd, each pledging RM50,000 in support of the causes close to our hearts.
